Fiona Adshead
Advisory Committee
Fiona chairs the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition and is an independent expert advisor on wellbeing, sustainability, and public health. She is a visiting Professor at UCL and a Senior Associate at Cambridge University’s Sustainability Leadership Programme. She formerly served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Director General in the UK Government, responsible for health improvement and health inequalities.

Lora Fleming
Advisory Committee
Lora is an Emerita Professor and Chair of Oceans, Epidemiology and Health at the University of Exeter. She specialises in environment and human health (particularly Oceans and Human Health and Healthcare Ocean) research and training.

William Gaze
Advisory Committee
Will is a Professor of Microbiology at the University of Exeter. His research specialises in AMR in both natural and farmed environments; fundamental issues of AMR evolution in the environment; landscape-scale dissemination of AMR; and human exposure and transmission studies.

Claas Kirchhelle
Advisory Committee
Claas is an Assistant Professor at University College Dublin and an Honorary Fellow in Vaccine History at the University of Oxford. He is a historian of infection control and drug innovation and regulation specialisms and has published extensively on the history of antibiotic use, resistance, and regulation in food production and Global Health, as well as the evolution of infection control and surveillance infrastructures.

Keith Moore

Keith is Programme Coordinator of the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition. He is a sustainability professional with over twenty years’ experience in strategic energy, carbon, environmental and sustainability management, mostly in the pharmaceutical industry.

Sharon Pfleger
Advisory Committee
Sharon is a Consultant in Pharmaceutical Public Health at NHS Highland and Visiting Professor at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Her speciality is in pharmaceutical public health and PPH policy, and she has expertise in sustainability, climate change adaptation, environmental pollution and protection, and water quality. She is a Co-Founder of the One Health Breakthrough Partnership, aiming to reduce pharmaceutical pollution in the environment.

Georgie Sowman
Dr Sowman is a General Practitioner in North East England and Physical Activity Clinical Champion at Sport England. She is a Co-Founder of Healthcare Ocean.

Wendy Tyler-Batt
Advisory Committee
Wendy is a clinical pharmacist and sustainability lead in Primary Care NHS Gloucestershire. She works in patient-facing role in GP practices, addressing sustainability and greener prescribing as part of a holistic approach to medicines optimisation and non-medicines interventions. She is a member of Pharmacy Declares, the Greener Primary Care Pharmacy Association, local & national Greener Practice groups and has contributed to Integrated Care System green plans, the Greener Practice inhaler toolkit & supported implementation of the Green Impact for Health Award.

Paul Southall
Advisory Committee
Dr Paul Southall is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Clinical Sustainability Lead at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He is an Environmental Advisor to the Royal College of Anaesthetists, where he helps to shape and guide anaesthetic practice to be as environmentally conscious as possible whilst still maintaining and improving patient care. Paul is also the Healthcare Ocean Lead for Micropollutants, with a focus on trying to reduce the impact of healthcare on the health of our oceans and waterways.
